Wayward Transparency Final Layout

I finished the quilt top for the the Wayward Transparency Quilt Along hosted by Yvonne at Quilting Jetgirl.

I had a hard time deciding on a layout and when I asked for opinions on Instagram, overwhelmingly #1 was chosen over #2.  And, by choosing the the first layout, I didn't have to worry about cutting any points off when piecing the final four blocks together.  But I really loved how the blocks interacted in the center.

You can read about the fabrics here, and I still may add a plain border from the chartreuse.  But for now, I'm considering it finished and I'm joining the other 100 Wayward Transparency projects in the Wayward Transparency Finish Link Up.  Go check them out!

Yvonne, thank you for hosting the quilt along and supporting this wonderful quilting community!

  1. Super layout, I do like those colours, and a border will give a lovely frame. What a round up in the linky gallery, they are all amazing, and what a range of colours there. This was a wonderful QAL, and a huge Hooray to Yvonne.

  12. Yours turned out really nice, Paige! You were brave to try the design with a print. I still want to explore transparency further, and would like to come up with my own special design. Ahh. Need. More. Time.

  15. Beautiful finish, Paige. Love the whimsical use of Kaffe print in your quilt - adds just a little bit more interest. But then that is what I have come to expect from your creations. Wonder what you will do next, but I am sure of this - it will be lovely.
