July One Monthly Goal

For July, my One Monthly Goal is to turn these three solids and coordinating Auriful threads into a machine appliqued 12" finished quilt block that will be made into a quilt to celebrate the Upstate Heritage Quilt Trail in the northeast corner of South Carolina.

Quilted Blooms

I will be working with the following solids and Aurifil 50 wt. 100% cotton for machine applique.

Purple - Kona Cotton solid in Heliotrope and Aurifil (1243) Dusty Lavender.
Pink - Timeless Treasurers solid in Punch and Aurifil (2530) Blossom Pink
Green - Kona Cotton solid in Grass Green and Aurifil (1114) Grass Green

I've started enlarging the pattern here.  Surely, I can make one block this month!

  2. Love the colors. Have fun with your block. I'm sure you will be successful if the creek don't rise, etc.

  5. Lovely colours and threads , and will you have a different background under the applique? The design is great and will show those fabrics so well.

  6. Have fun with this goal Paige. Are these the only colours in the block or do you put them on a background? The colours are very pretty.

  7. The colors look pretty, and the design looks very doable. It's good to set goals... though for me, actually SEEING on a list what I need and want to complete makes me too anxious. I'm a do-er and would just fret over knowing all that needs doing! And you also never know what physical things might impact your ability to complete your goals. Like the impossibility of doing any FMQ or crocheting due to having a repetitive motion injury of my left wrist. Not being able to DO is driving me barmy!
