In Bloom #18 + Daylily

I had planned to show off pretty daylilies all summer, but the deer had other plans.  They ate almost every bud, leaving only the stalks behind.  Well, they did miss this one.

Happy Sunday,

  1. Wonder what it is about daylilies that's so appealing to deer. What a pretty bloom with that yellow and orange!

  2. The deer got mine as well. I missed one day of spraying and they decimated all my lilies, roses and hostas--so maddening! I'm glad you have at least one beauty to share with us!

  3. Beautiful daylily. Sorry the deer got yours, they haven’t bothered mine yet...

  4. No daylilies in Florida, that I know of anyway! I'm just trying to keep our perennials going. Having a tough time with plumbago, which is supposedly a weed! I've planted our second bush in the same place, and it's doing the same thing as the previous one. Hoping that the addition of Milorganite to the soil, as suggested by the nursery, will cure whatever's wrong.
